Why “Braided River”?

Because... I do a number of different things which increasingly seem to intertwine with one another, linking my business and creative and other lives in all sorts of ways. Rather like the channels in a braided river, in fact.  Some are things I do for money and some are not; but, that distinction apart, they are all  things I love doing and to which I can bring different aspects of myself.

What Do I Do?

I’m a coach, business mentor, trainer. I’ve worked with clients including:

• Designer/ makers and other small business owners and entrepreneurs in the creative industries
• Social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations
• Universities
• Multinational financial institutions
• Rapid-growth companies in the consumer and IT sectors

The areas I specialise in working with my clients are:

• 1:1 coaching and mentoring
• Team coaching and development
• Business planning
• Financial and cash flow modelling

I’m also a musician, involved with two bands and other projects.  I’m also actively interested in green politics, low-carbon transition communities, civil liberties and much else besides.

Earlier in my professional life, I studied economics at the Universities of Cambridge and Warwick and spent many years working in industry as an economist and in planning, corporate treasury, trading and running my own consulting business.
